Snatch

A rock and roll lounge where anything goes. Snatch offers Miami locals, models, tourists and celebs an environment unlike any other. Once inside the posh lounge you can enjoy a mechanical bull ride or dancing on whatever you please. At Snatch you party like a rock star, and that's what sets this place apart from all the other snooty Miami places. Snatch is owned by Mark Lemekul who also throws parties at Suite, next door. Snatch's rock and roll atmosphere can assure its clients a swell time. The decor is trashy-chic (if you can imagine such a thing) it's Aspen meets trailor park. Inside, the lounge has over the top lamps made of antlers with designer lingerie hanging on them, proof that the Snatch crowd really knows how to have fun. If you're over the snobbish party scene then Snatch is the ideal place to go.

My Thought
Snatch is a terrific place with a very unique look and feel. The mechanical bull is much fun and you can always see someone living on the edge while holding on for their life. Drinks are great and the environment promises a great evening as does the music.

The Shore Club

Skybar, at The Shore Club hotel, is a beautiful outdoor lounge and intimate bar room. On weekends you can see people "kickback" from all over the world. Tourists, locals and weekenders flock to this hotel to have a few drinks. Skybar offers large beds poolside where you can lounge while mingling. Inside is a bar filled with tables and plush couches to relax while others dance. The Shore Club is also home to two of Miami's most well received restaurants, Nobu and Ago. Both restaurants are phenomenal and offer an array of food. Whether you go to eat, relax or party The Shore Club promises to keep you entertained. For more information on the hotel, restaurants or Skybar visit the website: http://www.shoreclub.com

My Thought
I think The Shore Club is amazing. Skybar is in a gorgeous setting. Ago and Nobu are great places to have a tasty meal; they offer a beautiful setting for a date or dinner party. A little on the pricey side but well worth it.

Casa Casuarina

The Versace mansion on 12th and Ocean has been a Miami icon since it was first erected. Today, it is owned by entrepreneur Peter Loftin; since he's purchased the home he has turned it into a high-end hotel and private members only club. Every Sunday evening the doors open for a "chic" pool party; DJ's from all over the world come to "spin" for the soiree. The house is striking and remains in many ways the same as it was when Gianni resided there. Now Casa Casuarina is open for people to have drinks, lay out, swim in the pool and have dinner. Sunday's are truly eventful and gives you a taste of luxury.

My Thought
The home is truly beautiful and spending the day there is unreal. The music is fantastic and the ambience is great. It is definetly worth a visit.

Social @ The Sagamore

If the party in Miami is at Mokai, then Social is where people pre-party. Social, at the hotel Sagamore, is a restaurant that was first opened in Los Angeles. Social L.A. has done so well that they decided to bring the eatery down south to Miami. At Social, people can enjoy art installations by Andy Warhol or play a friendly game of pool while others watch a screening of an indy film. Social offers an array of appetizers in a festive atmosphere. You can enjoy the surroundings while having dinner or having a couple drinks. Social offers "Socialites" over 120 different kinds of vintage wines. The pool area of The Sagamore is surrounded by beautiful bungalow where you can put your "dogs" up and relax. In a nutshell, Social is where you go when you are feeling social.

My Thoughts
I thoroughly enjoy Social. It's a beautiful hotel with great art and a fantastic environment. The restaurant offers great food, and the crowd is a "swanky" group much like the crowd in Mokai.

Mokai

Mokai is one of Miami's newest venues. It opened less than a year ago and has proven to be everything the locals were anticipating. The new lounge is owned by Rony Seikaly, a former NBA star and Nicolai, former owner of Mynt Lounge. At 4,000 sq. ft. Mokai is one of the smaller clubs on South Beach. However, don't let the size fool you. Mokai is THE Miami hotspot that everyone is dieing to get into. Once inside, this new lounge is entertaining the who's who of the Miami social scene. On any given night you can be dancing with the likes of George Clooney, Scarlett Johansson and TomKat. One thing is for sure though, if you do decide to spend an evening "living it up" at Mokai, be ready to wait and ready to throw down some serious cash. Most of the people who go to Mokai NEVER make it in and those who do have to be ready to spend at least $1,000 on a table.

My Thoughts
Having gone to Mokai a few times, I can say it is everything they say it is. The music is fantastic and unique from all the other clubs in Miami. The venue is beautiful and is named after a canyon where the "Lord of The Rings" trilogy was filmed. The decor is modern and chic, as are the people. I have been a Miami party kid since I really was a kid (17 and I'm 23 now). I must admit if it weren't for all those years of partying I would probably still be waiting to get in. They are not afraid to turn people down. Patience is crucial at Mokai, so if you're not willing to wait I suggest going anywhere else. Overall I have to say that Mokai truly is the best place to have fun in Miami.
